AAA says the statewide average price of regular now stands at $2.53 a gallon, down about six cents from last Wednesday.
Reported prices to GasBuddy show an average in the $2.45 range for drivers in Baton Rouge and New Orleans, though many stations listed have a gallon of regular for around $2.30.
