Halloween is a more dangerous holiday than New Years Eve for drivers and pedestrians in Louisiana.

The state's Highway Safety Research Group at LSU has found the same trend every year since 2005.

Research found in 2017 ten people were killed and another 900 people were injured in crashes during Halloween. According to the report, drunk driving was the result of three deaths and 61 of the 900 injuries.

Mardi Gras was reported as the second-most dangerous holiday in the state.
