Mayor LaToya Cantrell is making changes to traffic cameras in New Orleans.
Cantrell's office isn't completely getting rid of cameras, but they do plan to eliminate 20 of the 31 non-school zone cameras currently in place. She also is planning to eliminate camera enforcement in school zones outside of school hours.
Cameras are expected to generate more than $20 million in revenue next year, and phasing out most of the cameras will reduce that number by around $6 million.
