The Saints handed the Rams their first loss of the season 45-35 at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome.

Drew Brees threw for 346 yards and four touchdowns in a nearly flawless performance for New Orleans. Alvin Kamara scored three total touchdowns and Michael Thomas caught 12 passes for a team-record 211 yards and a TD.

"We're focused on us," said Kamara after the game. "We ain't looking at nothing but the track we're on, so there's no derailing this train."

Saints head coach Sean Payton they outlasted a very good team for a win. "We had two good teams going back and forth and momentum shifted the second half in their favor. Credit those guys, they fought back and really came right back into the game. In the end, we made enough plays and we won an important game."

The Saints have won seven straight since a season-opening loss to Tampa Bay.

Jared Goff threw for 391 yards, three touchdowns and an interception for LA, which fought back from down 35-14 to tie it before the Saints pulled away again. The Rams fell to 8-and-1.
