It's Election Day and voters statewide will pick a replacement for former Louisiana Secretary of State Tom Schedler, who resigned earlier this year after being accused of sexual harassment.
Along with choosing local and state officials, Louisiana voters also have six new constitutional amendments to consider, as well as a measure to legalize fantasy sports betting.
The constitutional amendments include requiring a unanimous jury for guilty verdicts in felony cases, requiring that convicted felons wait five years after their sentence is over to run for political office, and banning the State Police from using funds meant for roads and bridges for traffic control measures.
Polls close at 8 p.m.
