Drivers in Louisiana are finding lower gas prices across the state.
AAA says at midweek, the statewide average price of regular has dropped to $2.40 a gallon, down about eight cents compared to last Wednesday.
The fuel is now about 25 cents cheaper than a month ago, but still about a dime higher than on this same date last year.
Even better, GasBuddy.com says several stations in the New Orleans area are selling regular for as low as a $1.89 while the lowest price in Baton Rouge to be found was $2.05.
