Police in Hammond say a 16-year-old boy is being held in a juvenile facility after communicating false information of a planned bombing at Hammond High School.
The messages posted on Instagram led to heightened security and the closure of the school yesterday and on Monday, though a search of the campus turned up nothing considered dangerous.
The teen, who was arrested yesterday afternoon, has not been publicly identified.
Classes were scheduled to resume today.
