Water Main Break In Jefferson Parish Causes Sink Hole

Crews in Jefferson Parish are working to repair a broken water main that caused a large sinkhole under the Lapalco Bridge this morning.

Officials say parts of Peters Road in Harvey will be fully closed while Public Works crews repair the water main.

Traffic is being diverted onto Lapalco Boulevard for the mean time until the problem is fixed.
