The man who had been king-elect for the Krewe of Zulu is getting his membership back in the Zulu Social Aid and Pleasure Club.

However, Orleans Parish Civil District Court Judge Christopher Bruno ruled yesterday that the club had the authority to remove Naaman Stewart as next year's king after he was sued for allegedly sexually assaulting a female club member.

However, the judge ruled that the club failed, as required, to abide by its own rules to hold a hearing and issue a finding of guilt before ousting someone from the organization.
