Federal and state officials are announcing the results of an anti-counterfeiting operation.
New Orleans Customs and Border Patrol agents announced yesterday they've already seized nearly $1 million worth of counterfeit products as investigators have tracked the sales of the knock-off products in the southeast region of the state.
Authorities say they're paying close attention to counterfeit bags, cosmetics and contacts, as some of these products can be contaminated with lead or other toxins.
