While you may still consider gasoline a bit pricey in Louisiana, it's a lot cheaper than it was a month ago.
AAA reports the statewide average price of regular has fallen below $2.38 a gallon, a seven-cent drop from last Friday and down more than 25 cents compared to a month ago.
Prices for drivers in Baton Rouge and New Orleans are even lower, according to GasBuddy.
In the Capital Region, a handful of stations were at $1.99 for a gallon of regular, and many others were just a few pennies above $2.
In the New Orleans metro area, some stations were as low as $1.89 a gallon.
