A New Jersey man won't be spending any time in prison after being sentenced yesterday in Louisiana for interfering with a flight crew.

Authorities say 39-year-old Joel Bane turned violent on a flight from Chicago to New Orleans last year when he was refused a fourth alcoholic beverage.

Among other things, Bane, who served four combat tours in Afghanistan and Iraq and is said to suffer from PTSD, threatened to put a flight attendant "in a body bag" and punched two cops trying to take him into custody in the face.

The judge, in sentencing Bane to only probation, said he believes Bane's service to the nation attributed to his behavior on the plane.
