The overall health of Louisiana is nothing to brag about since it's ranked the worst in the nation.
The good news is Louisiana has a higher rate of mental health providers and a low incidence of pertussis.
The bad news is smoking is on the increase, the number of children living in poverty is unchanged at 28 percent and cardiovascular deaths are on the rise.
