Deadly Gunfire Darkens Christmas Holiday Period In New Orleans

There's been another deadly shooting in New Orleans as the city reels from a bout of gun violence over the Christmas holiday.

Police say one of the latest killings occurred in the Algiers neighborhood early last night where a 48-year-old man from the town of Violet in St. Bernard Parish was shot to death on General Meyer Avenue.  A woman was also wounded.

At least one other person was killed Christmas Day in New Orleans and two others wounded in three other separate shootings.
