Louisiana state officials are moving forward with a new way for residents to pay for hepatitis C treatments.
It's called the Netflix model, allowing unlimited access to the drug in exchange for a subscription fee being paid to the drug company. The alternative payment method could mean more people cured, as many struggle to afford individual prescriptions for hepatitis C.
The state's goal is to treat 10,000 people by 2020.
