Credit unions across Louisiana are providing services and commodations to furloughed federal workers impacted by the month-long government shutdown.
Some of the programs include furlough loan programs, refinancing options, payment extensions and waived penalties for those accrued during the furlough period.
In New Orleans, Naval Air Station JRB Credit Union, The Greater New Orleans Credit Union, Coast Guard Employees Credit Union and the University of New Orleans Federal Credit Union all are participating.
