An arctic cold front will bring a blast of winter to Louisiana starting tonight.
Northern portions of the state will be under a Winter Weather Advisory from nine tonight until nine Tuesday morning with some of the precipitation transitioning to snow that could accumulate up to two inches in elevated location.
There could even by a mix of rain, sleet and snow on the northshore of southeast Louisiana Monday night into Tuesday morning.
A hard freeze is expected Tuesday night.
