St. Tammany Sheriff Formally Announces Re-Election Bid

St. Tammany Parish Sheriff Randy Smith wants another term in office and has formally announced his bid for re-election.

Smith won his first term in November 2015 by defeating Jack Strain who held the office for two decades.

Two other candidates seeking the post in the fall election are former Covington police chief Tim Lentz and local law enforcement veteran Nick Trachina.
