A Northeast Louisiana man is behind bars after he allegedly attacked his wife over a sandwich.
Officials say 57-year-old David Johnson of Eros is being charged with one count of simple battery after allegedly throwing a plate at the ground and lunging at his wife. He allegedly brought her down to the ground, where she was cut by the broken plate, pulled her hair and punched her repeatedly in the face.
Police say Johnson admitted he attacked his wife for only making him a sandwich after she made her daughter a gourmet meal.
They add Johnson was also wanted on a bench warrant for failure to appear.
