Search efforts have located the pilot of a helicopter that crashed Sunday into the Gulf of Mexico off of Lafourche Parish.
The Bell 407, operated by Houston-based Bristow Group, was traveling between Galliano and Venice when it went down for unknown reasons. The body of the lone passenger has also been recovered.
The company has not released the identities of those on board the chopper out of respect for the privacy of their families.
"Bristow extends our deepest condolences to both families impacted by this accident," read a statement released Monday.
