Prosecutors are seeking the death penalty for 21-year-old Dakota Theriot, the man suspected of killing five people in a multi-parish shooting spree.
Theriot is accused of shooting his girlfriend, Summer Ernest, along with her father Billy and her little brother Tanner in their Livingston Parish residence. He then reportedly stole their truck and drove to Ascension Parish, where he shot and killed both of his parents before driving to his grandmother's house in Virginia, where he was arrested.
Theriot has entered a plea of not guilty. The next court date is set for May 9th.
