Sign On Tulane Dorm Door Set On Fire, Three Arrested

Fingerprint form and handcuffs, high angle view

Three people are free on bond following their arrest over the weekend after a sign on the door of a dorm room in Weatherhead Hall at Tulane University was set on fire.

While the damage was minor, police charged Robert Money and David Shelton, both Tulane students, and Naima Okami, a student at Brown University, with aggravated arson. Conviction could mean from six to 20 years in prison.

The sign bore the university's athletics slogan "I AM NOLABUILT," but there are allegations the door was set ablaze because the room was occupied by a campus officer of the Tulane chapter of the libertarian group, Young Americans for Liberty.
