Limited Release Of Medical Marijuana In State Forecast For May

Los Angeles To Not Enforce Ban On Marijuana Dispensaries

May appears to be the target date for at least a "limited release" of medical marijuana in Louisiana.

Patients and pharmacy owners have grown impatient about the continuing delay in getting the medication to those in need.

The Advocate reports that GB Sciences is planning to take product it has already made to the state's nine licensed pharmacies in the weeks ahead, even though the first full harvest of plants is not expected until August.

The Louisiana Association of Therapeutic Alternatives is demanding that medical marijuana products hit pharmacy shelves by May 15th, almost three years after state lawmakers gave medical marijuana the green light for the treatment of a variety of ailments.
