Mayor LaToya Cantrell, Governor Edwards and the city's hospitality industry leaders are set to meet this afternoon.
They'll be getting together at the Hyatt Regency for further discussions on Cantrell's request for a bigger share of the revenue from hospitality sales taxes.
She wants more of the funds to address the city's infrastructure needs, including its drainage system. NOLA.com/The Times-Picayune reports a compromise could be announced as early as next week.
