Increase In Juvenile Crimes Across New Orleans

New Orleans Police Superintendent Shaun Ferguson is warning residents about an increase in the number of crimes being committed by juveniles.

So far in 2019, 238 juveniles have been arrested, with many of the teenage offenders being armed and dangerous.

Ferguson says they're responsible for a large number of violent crimes in the parish, such as the growing number of armed robberies.

In 2018 there were over 1,200 juvenile arrests, up from 965 in 2017.
