Renovations are coming to the Hammond Square Mall.
The center for Tangipahoa Parish shopping will have the old Sears and Rite Aid buildings demolished and replaced with 90,000 sq. ft. of new space. It has not been determined what businesses and retailers will fill the space, but residents are excited for what the future holds.
There's hope that changes to the mall will also help decrease the unemployment rate.
