As an investigation continues into arson fires that destroyed three historically black churches in St. Landry Parish, Governor John Bel Edwards led a unity service yesterday that brought members of the three congregations together.
The Palm Sunday service was held at Little Zion Baptist Church in Opelousas.
Edwards told those gathered that he hoped the "tragedy can be turned into a triumph of faith, hope and love."
