When it comes to your driver's license, there's an app for a digital version of it in Louisiana. And for the next 30 days, downloading it onto your smartphone is free, rather than having to fork over $5.99 for it.
So went the announcement from State Representative Ted James yesterday who says the decision to temporarily suspend the charge for LA Wallet is out of concern for ride-sharing customers.
The app has a safety feature allowing Uber and Lyft riders to scan a driver's license to confirm they're getting into the right car with the right driver.
