New Orleans police say a female rideshare driver is recovering after she was beaten and carjacked in an early morning attack.
The victim picked up the man, identified as 27-year-old Samuel Taylor and drove him to his desired location. After arriving, Taylor allegedly grabbed the keys from the car and told the woman to get out, hitting her and ripping off her clothing.
Taylor eventually got out of the vehicle and fled, but was later found and taken into custody.
