A man is behind bars in St. Tammany Parish following a deadly shooting near Slidell.
The coroner yesterday identified the victim as 54-year-old Ralph Davis who died late Friday night after being shot in the chest in the River Gardens neighborhood.
The suspect, Terrell Sylvas, of Pearl River, was transported to the hospital for treatment of an apparent drug overdose and later booked on charges that include second-degree murder.
