he U.S. Highway 11 bridge over Lake Pontchartrain will remain closed for repairs until October.
The bridge was closed in January for extensive repairs and was expected to re-open in April.
Officials with the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development say mechanical, electrical and structural systems on both of the drawbridges are being upgraded.
