A couple of kayakers are recovering after winding up in the water near Grand Isle.
The incident happened late Saturday morning as severe weather moved through the area. The Coast Guard responded with boats and rescued the two who were admitted to the hospital in stable condition.
FOX 8 reports a Facebook post indicated a waterspout had moved through the area the kayakers were in, but it couldn't be confirmed if it was responsible for them going into the water.
