St. Charles Parish President Enters Guilty Plea To DWI Charges

St. Charles Parish President Larry Cochran is pleading guilty to DWI.

A Jefferson Parish judge imposed a 120 day suspended sentence, four days of community service and a $350 fine while dismissing a charge of reckless driving.

The charges stem from a September 2017 arrest after Cochran was pulled over for swerving while driving a parish-owned vehicle in the early morning hours. Toxicology tests found Cochran had Hydrocodone, Oxycodone and Oxymorphone in his system at the time of the traffic stop.
