Suspect In Multi-Parish Killing Spree Pleads Not Guilty

The South Louisiana man accused of killing five people, including his parents, in a two-parish shooting spree in January says he's not guilty of the three murders that took place in Livingston Parish.

Dakota Theriot, 21, entered that plea yesterday to three counts of first-degree murder, with the state saying it will seek the death penalty if he's convicted as charged.

In Livingston, Theriot allegedly shot and killed his girlfriend, her father, and her younger brother before driving to Ascension Parish where his parents were shot to death.
