Public school funding remains a hot issue at the state Capitol.
The Senate voted 37-1 yesterday in favor of a K-12 spending formula allocating $3.8 billion to school operations.
It includes a $1,000 pay boost for teachers and something the House has balked over - block-grant funding of $39 million for school districts in the state.
The lower chamber has yet to agree to a school-funding formula.
