Bayou Boogaloo may move locations after spending 14 years on Bayou St. John at Orleans Avenue.

Founder Jared Zeller says the festival could move in 2020 to "ensure the financial health of our event and organization." Zeller is considering a German cultural center, lakefront properties and other festival park sites for its relocation.

The festival charged for the first time this year because the city increased the fee to use the public space under the Cantrell administration. Despite the fee, Bayou Boogaloo was attended by 15,000 people from May 17th to May 19th.
