Harrah's Casino is set to continue operating in New Orleans after receiving a 30-year extension from Louisiana lawmakers yesterday.

The new deal is expected to bring in millions for both the state and city and nearly 1,000 new jobs.

Harrah's can now operate until 2054, and they will also be allowed to add new restaurants, expand their entertainment space, and build a second hotel.

As part of the deal, Harrah's will make annual payments of $6 million which will be used to pay for city services.
