One man is in the hospital after being shot by a state trooper near the intersection of Iberville and Bourbon Street last night.
According to reports, the man was driving the wrong way and refused orders to stop.
At least one trooper opened fire on the vehicle and wounded the man who was then taken to University Medical Center.
Officials say no one else appeared to be hurt during the incident and they have now opened an investigation.
