A high school football player is dead after collapsing suddenly after practice earlier this week in Amite City.
Amite High Magnet School Officials yesterday said that 15-year-old Terrance Allen was in the locker room with other players when he collapsed.
EMS workers arrived on the scene and took Allen to the hospital where he died less than an hour later.
Police have not released a cause of death and say an autopsy will be performed today by the Jefferson Parish Coroner.
