A/C Malfunction At S&WB Offices Sends Five To The Hospital Thursday

Five people are recovering after suffering symptoms of heat illness yesterday at the Sewerage and Water Board offices on St. Joseph Street.

According to reports, the building's air conditioning broke down in the middle of a city-wide heat advisory.

Officials closed down the lobby of the building early to avoid putting more people at risk.

S&WB says their West Bank office will be open today and its downtown customer service center will be open from 8 a.m. until noon.
