Metairie Murder Suspect Person Of Interest In Two N.O. Shootings

The New Orleans Police Department says a suspect in three murders in Metairie has become a person of interest in two New Orleans East shootings.

Sean Barrette, 22, has been reportedly named a person of interest for the murder of Bruce Reed and a June 5th shooting.

Reed was shot to death near the intersection of Marquis Street and Hayne Boulevard, while no one was hurt in the June 5th shooting in the 6200 bock of Hayne Boulevard.

Barrette was arrested Wednesday by the JPSO in connection to three Metairie killings over the course of 24 hours.

Ballistics from the incidents matched Barrette's gun.

New evidence released yesterday also shows Barrette has been linked to multiple reports of shots fired at moving vehicles in Jefferson and Orleans parishes.

According to reports, Barrette is now suspected of shooting at cars without killing anyone at least three times during his murder spree.

Barrette is currently in jail for allegedly killing a man in New Orleans on June 6th and then killing a man on June 17th and two others on June 18th in Metairie.
