A dangerous algae bloom is developing in Lake Pontchartrain.
Louisiana health officials are warning people not to go swimming in the water or even touch it.
People are also advised to refrain from eating fish in the lake and to keep their pets from drinking the water.
The blue-green algae contains a bacteria that can cause rashes, stomach cramps, nausea, diarrhea and vomiting.
