New Orleans composer and musician Dave Bartholomew is dead at the age of 100.
The local legend died Sunday morning at East Jefferson General Hospital, according to his son, Ron.
Bartholomew is known for discovering Fats Domino and being a key architect of New Orleans' music.
He was a trumpet player, bandleader, composer, songwriter, producer and a talent scout.
Bartholomew leaves behind two sons and his funeral arrangements have yet to be announced.
