Over 60 people across Louisiana are under arrest in connection to multiple counts of crimes linked to the exploitation of children.
Attorney General Jeff Landry said yesterday that multiple law enforcement agencies had engaged in a two-month long investigation known as Operation Broken Heart.
Landry says 63 suspects were taken into custody on charges of possession of child pornography, sex trafficking, online enticement of children, and sexual abuse.
“Sexual exploitation of kids is gut-wrenching and involves unspeakable things that would shock the conscience of every one,” said Landry. “Operation Broken Heart sends a powerful message to predators across the country – law enforcement will find you and we will protect Louisiana’s children.”
