New Crawfish And Shrimp Labeling Law To Be Enforced

Oil From Spill Continues To Flow Into Gulf Of Mexico

Beginning September 1st, the Louisiana Department of Health will enforce a new crawfish and shrimp labeling law.

Restaurants and food distributors will now be required to clearly notify customers if the crawfish or shrimp came from outside of the U.S.

The notice must be listed immediately next to the item on the menu, and must be printed in the same font, size and shade as the item.
