Senator Kennedy Supports Firing Of Gretna Police Officers Over AOC Post

Senator John Kennedy says the Gretna police chief did "the right thing" in firing two officers.

Those officers were fired over a post criticizing and advocating violence towards Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.

Kennedy said he may not agree with the Congresswoman's politics, but that police officers' job is to protect the public, not threaten them.

Both Officers Charlie Rispoli and Angelo Varisco were fired for violating the department's social media policy.
