Active Shooter Drill Held At Cruise Terminal For Port Of New Orleans

Authorities say sounds of gunfire and sirens at the cruise terminal for the Port of New Orleans is part of a drill.

The Coast Guard says a number of federal and state agencies participated in an active shooter drill today.

That means nearby residents likely saw lots of public safety personnel and equipment, along with hearing simulated gunfire.

Some local sheriff's offices were also part of today's drill.
