Alabama Inmate Who Left Work Release Program Captured In Mandeville

An Alabama man wanted for walking away from a work release program on July 11th has been taken into custody in Mandeville.

Deputies say they found 43-year-old Chris Dwayne Williams hiding out in a St. Tammany Parish home around 6:30 on Monday night.

He was taken into custody, along with two other people who were in the home at the time.

Williams, who was serving a 20-year sentence for manslaughter, is now facing a number of additional charges and will be extradited to Alabama at a later date.
