The Bourbon Street construction project in New Orleans' French Quarter is coming to an end, temporarily.

City officials say construction fencing and heavy equipment will be removed today in preparation for Southern Decadence, the largest gay-pride event in the city.

The project is in its second phase and is designed to modernize utilities and add drainage in the French Quarter.
