Renovations In The Works For New Orleans Union Passenger Terminal

Inside Of New Orleans Union Passenger Terminal

The city of New Orleans says it will now be able to upgrade Union Passenger Terminal thanks to local and federal funding.

Mayor Latoya Cantrell joined Senator Bill Cassidy yesterday to announce a federal grant worth $3.7 million has been awarded to New Orleans to renovate the bus and train terminal.

One area the money will be focused on will be to make the train platforms compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act.

Union Passenger Terminal first opened in 1954 and was restored in 2005 after being damaged by Hurricane Katrina.
